4/6 Planning applications
10/10/00006 – Renewal of planning permission 10/07/00003 for erection of two storey extension to west elevation and erection of second storey to east elevation, Valley Farmhouse, Broomfield.
The meeting had no observations to make on this application
10/10/00007 – Erection of sun room with link attachment to side elevation, Arch Barn, Quarry Springs, Goathurst Hill (Listed Building Consent)
10/10/00008 – Erection of sun room with link attachment to side elevation, Arch Barn, Quarry Springs, Goathurst Hill (Planning Consent)
The chair reported that he and Cllr Aras had visited the property and had no concerns over this development. The meeting agreed to make no observations to Sedgemoor.
5/6 Finance
The annual accounts for 2009/2010 were presented and approved unanimously by Council
The annual governance statements were read out and approved
The meeting confirmed the appointment of Mrs. Carol Keenan as internal auditor at a fee £25. The Chair reported that the auditor had made some minor points which will be passed on to the Clerk and had signed the internal audit report.
The annual return will now be passed to the Audit Commission.
6/6 Urgent matters for report only
Sedgemoor DC had written reminding Councillors that their Declaration of Interests should be kept up to date and any Gifts or Hospitality over £25 should be registered.
The Boundary Commission has apparently recommended that Broomfield should become part of the North Petherton Ward on Sedgemoor District Council from May 2011. It was agreed to invite Anne Fraser, a member for North Petherton to the next meeting.
